As a freelancer, interest often fluctuates and sometime you deal with flaky people. I know a contract is a good way to ensure some kind of payment, but does anyone know where I can find a template of something already written that I could edit?

I like to write..some forms I love. I was thinking of freelance writing, WHY NOT? I do not know where to start and who do contact. I have set up a blog, but have since abandoned it. Thanks for your help!

You have to be serious about it. Blogs are good practice. I use mine as my writing practice. My writing, I actually put effort into it. Tell me when you really want to be successful.

Hello! I’m a 17 year old freelance website developer, I’ve been doing this for nearly 3 years, I’ve never had a part time job this has always been my source of income and things are good, I’ve always had what I wanted

I feel my skills are of a high enough standard now to branch out away from online clients paying just over £100 a job and go into the real world.

I had an idea of going into my local town with my laptop and targeting small independent businesses with a sales pitch and a digital portfolio demonstration to see if I could hook them into wanting my services.

Obviously my key selling point will be the high standard of my work in relation to my fee which will be a fraction of a professional companies.

Is this likely to work at all? I honestly have no idea what to expect. Even if people here say no I’ll still do it since there’s nothing to lose but I just want to see what people think.

Also, any advice or tips are very welcome!

My son was home schooled and has an on line diploma. He has never had a problem having it accepted by either employers or colleges.

To be a web designer start with a basic HTML course. Then work your way up. You can also study flash. Coffee cup is a good website to go and play around. There are plenty of freelance work for web designers.

i want to set up my own web design website witch also offers security auditing and pen testing…i can do all this myself and i want to do this freelance … so can i just make my company like that? or do i have to register it somehow or something?

if you can get customers, you can be in business – a local business license is probably needed, and a state sales tax license – see your local town hall
